Norwood Starts Construction on 62,000 SF Ambulatory Care Center

By The Norwood Company

Doylestown, PA: The Norwood Company has commenced construction on a new ambulatory care center on the campus of Doylestown Hospital. Designed by Array Architects, the 62,000 square foot facility will feature a 22,000 square foot ambulatory surgery center with extended stay recovery as well as rehabilitation and specialty care suites. Located at the “front door” of the hospital’s campus, the new building will be a convenient and visible location offering centralized outpatient services. The team anticipates completion in late 2019.

Norwood has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Doylestown Health in support of their mission to create a patient-centric, clinically integrated community health network. Previously completed projects include a new 40 bay emergency department, 40 new med-surg beds, a 500 car parking garage, an off-campus urgent care center, and a 30,000 square foot outpatient addition focused on clinical oncology. A $50 million hospital addition centered around cardiovascular care is also under construction and scheduled to open in late 2019.
