FCA promotes Denise Thompson AIA LEED AP BD+C to Principal

By FCA

FCA are delighted to announce the promotion of Denise Thompson AIA, LEED AP BD+C to Principal.

“It is exciting to have witnessed how Denise has flourished within our firm,” says John Campbell, President of FCA. “Since joining FCA in 2003, she has been a key player within our growing practice, empowering her teams to conceptualize strong design solutions and inspiring her clients with innovative approaches to the built environment.”

Passionate about sustainable design, Denise has nurtured this interest at FCA through her work on highly acclaimed healthcare projects such as the Vista award-winning Geisinger Wyoming Valley Critical Care building in Pennsylvania, MD Anderson Cooper Cancer Center in Camden NJ, and more recently the Main Line Health Lankenau Emergency Department in Wynnewood PA, which is seeking LEED for Healthcare certification. She has presented and been published on the topic of her belief that buildings created for the purpose of healing and treatment should not only have a positive impact on human health, but also a positive impact on the environment.

“My goal is to continue the great legacy that is FCA while adapting to our constantly changing industry,” says Denise. “I want the firm to continue to deliver great work and hone our skills as professionals while building lasting relationships with our clients and potential future clients.”

Denise is well known to members of the AIA Philadelphia chapter, serving as President of the chapter in 2016 and in 2017 was named one of the Building Design + Construction Magazine’s as well as Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. In 2013, she was awarded the Young Architect Award by AIA Philadelphia.
