CONTEXT Summer 2018 Call for Design Profiles
The summer 2018 issue of AIA Philadelphia's quarterly journal, Context, will focus on Sacred Places/Civic Spaces, which is also the next phase of the Community Design Collaborative’s (Collaborative) Infill Philadelphia. The Collaborative, in partnership with Partners for Sacred Places, will demonstrate that underutilized space in historic sacred properties throughout Philadelphia can be activated in ways that expand the civic commons, serve a larger secular purpose, and strengthen communities.
Please submit for publication in this issue, projects involving historic sacred properties being activated to serve a larger community purpose. Projects must have a sacred space as a substantial portion of the use. All projects with a sacred component will be considered regardless of community activation.
As always, projects should be constructed, not “on the boards,” and should have been completed within the last 3 years or so, all projects will be considered.
To have your project considered for publication, please complete the online form and be sure to include a description of the project, the project team and their corresponding roles, high resolution photos, and photo credits no later than May 11.
