Calling All Citizen Architects!
AIA is calling on members across the country to join the Advocacy Network as Citizen Architects. Whether you are looking to make a difference in your local community or advance leadership across the spectrum of government, institutions, or neighborhoods, identifying as a Citizen Architect allows AIA to recognize your service through programs such as the citizen architect award, and to provide the tools you need to make the impact you desire.
This month’s Citizen Architect is Jenine Kotob, Assoc. AIA. After witnessing tragedy, Jenine has devoted her career to designing safer, more secure schools.
While you are reading Jenine’s story, you may notice some additional changes. That is because AIA has also launched a new advocacy landing page. The site features a new look, with updated tools and accessible resources.
Features of the updated site include:
Citizen Architect of the Month
- Access to the Architect Action Center
- Webinars and training materials
- Information about how ArchiPAC works for architects
- Background on federal, state, and international policy issues
The goal of AIA is to make sure that you have the resources to be effective advocates on issues impacting the profession. We hope you will visit the updated landing page and sign up for Architect Action Alerts. After you explore the sites, please feel free to offer your feedback.
