AIA Philadelphia's Women In Architecture (WIA) Committee is proud to present their 2017 Scholarship Fundraiser featuring Billie Tsien.

Billie is a partner of Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, which she co-founded with Tod Williams in 1986. Located in New York, their studio focuses on buildings that are carefully made and useful in ways that speak to both efficiency and the spirit. A sense of rootedness, light, texture, detail, and most of all, experience, are at the heart of what they build. These timeless attributes are embodied in Philadelphia at the Barnes Foundation (2012) and the University of Pennsylvania's Skirkanich Hall (2006). Over the past three decades Tod and Billie have received numerous national and international citations. Last year, their firm was selected to design the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.

Please join us for an evening celebrating Billie’s contributions to the profession and to Philadelphia’s architectural landscape.
