The Center for Architecture is pleased to present it's 8th workshop in this monthly series of Saturday workshops. Developed for children in grades 2-5, these hands-on workshops provide kids with the opportunity to explore the field of architecture and to make a project to take home. Taught by practicing architects.
This month's workshop will be a full-family event! Bring a parent or two to join us as we take a trip two blocks from the Center to Philadelphia's City Hall for an adventure on a grand scale! Did you know that Philadelphia's City Hall is the largest city hall in the country? And that it has more sculptures than any other building in the world? And that the sculpture of William Penn on top is the tallest sculpture on top of a building anywhere on the planet? Come discover more amazing facts about this unique building and try your hand at sketching, drawing, and learning how to look at an architectural structure.
